Thomas Edward Young  

T. Edward Young was born in Austrailia around 1868 and immigrated to the United States in 1888.  He was appointed to the Police Department in 1903, made Lieutenant in 1906, and Deputy Chief in 1928.  He served until 1942 and died in 1958.
