Taunton Police Department, Massachusetts

George W. Plummer 

 

   George W. Plummer was born in Sanford, Maine about 1813.  He was one of the first officers appointed to the Taunton Police Department.  From at least 1859 to 1864, he served as the Local Alcohol Agent for the Town of Taunton.  He served on the police department from 1865 until 1867.  He died in Taunton on December 19, 1879.
