William H. Murphy         

William H. Murphy was born on May 24, 1908 in Taunton. He was appointed to the Taunton Police Department as a reserve officer on December 7, 1943, and fulltime on October 14, 1947. He retired on May 31, 1973 and died on September 3, 1980.
