The Iron Claw made it's debut in 1934, manufactured by Argus. It generally remained unchanged until the final production model produced by Jay-Pee. The Claw is a come along, which was placed on the offender's wrist (or as I saw, ankle, mouth...) and twisted which caused sharp pain. Most police department's stopped carrying the claw decades ago, though the Taunton Police Department still carried it into the 1990's.
